Let's go back about 5 years ago, to when I had this 'crazy' idea that I was going to be an artist...and while we're at it, I'm going to return to uni and commence a Visual Arts degree.
Turns out my idea wasn't crazy after all.  It takes courage to step away from the familiar and create something that I was envisioning in my mind.  I didn't wake up one morning and have it all planned out - it was a process - and it still is a process.  However, the pathway gets clearer every day.  I never look back - because I love what I do.

In saying this, there are a number of people who have supported my journey and I want to acknowledge the fact that none of this would be possible with out them.

Firstly, Stuart - my husband and best mate.  Thankyou for coming along on this adventure and loving me unconditionally.  For understanding that I needed to find my passion and purpose - and supporting every facet of that.

My mum - thanks for your unconditional love...for your continual support,  humour and blunt honesty.  Thanks for teaching me that life is too short to be anything but happy.

Lara - my incredibly talented and creative friend.  Thanks for encouraging me - and recognising I had a talent before I knew myself.  For all our laughs, and awesome conversations about life and everything in between.  Seeing you perserve through your own degree and complete your PhD is a constant source of inspiration for my journey.  Thankyou.

Marisa - for believing in me and providing the flexibility to complete my uni degree and create my dreams.  Thankyou for all your support, honesty, and giving me a kick up the backside when I needed it...and of course - for all the laughs in between.

Brigit - you are without doubt one of the best uni lecturers I've had.  Thankyou for challenging me and pushing me out of my comfort zone.  Thankyou for mentoring me outside of normal uni hours and making time around my work schedule,

Nicola - my mentor and coach.  What can I say?  This is all becoming a reality because of you.  Thankyou for sharing the path you've travelled and showing that everything is possible.  For your compassion - teaching me to be gentle with myself, reminding me to have fun, and providing me with all the resources I need to evolve as an artist.  So grateful that our paths have crossed.

Richard - from @bluemoosephotos.  You're the superstar that brought my artwork to life through photography.  Seriously, what are the chances of meeting an ocean photographer at a local art exhibition?  Regardless, I'm grateful for your work, your humour and our chats on all things life and art.
